How to Apply

1. Create a GCKey account at the IRCC portal.

2. Build an International Experience Canada (IEC) Profile indicating your interest.

3. Enter the pool for your country's WHV category.

4. Wait for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) â€” these are issued in rounds.

5. Accept the ITA within 10 days, then submit the full Work Permit application and pay fees within 20 days.

Common Pitfalls & Expert Advice

Missing the 10-day window to 'Accept Interest' after receiving an ITA. Inconsistent name spelling between your IEC profile and passport. Failing to provide police certificates for every country you have lived in for 6+ months.
